DONETSK, June 23 A high-voltage power line was cut in the Gorlovka village of Shirokaya Balka in the DPR as a result of shelling by Ukrainian troops, Gorlovka Mayor Ivan Prikhodko said on Friday in his Telegram channel .
«As a result of the shelling of the village of Shirokaya Balka (the Central City district of Gorlovka), a high-voltage line was interrupted by the armed formations of Ukraine,» Prikhodko wrote.
Gorlovka is located 50 kilometers north of Donetsk, the city is home to the Stirol chemical concern and coal mining enterprises. This is one of the largest settlements in the DPR, before the start of the conflict in the Donbass, the population of Gorlovka numbered more than 250 thousand people.
