A court in Nizhny Novgorod sentenced a mobilized man who left the unit three times to 6 years in prison

The Nizhny Novgorod garrison military court sentenced 6 years in prison to mobilized Nikita Uchuvatov in the case of unauthorized abandonment of the military unit. This was reported on the website of the court.

Private Uchuvatov was sentenced on June 19. He was found guilty of leaving the military unit three times during the period of mobilization and “spent time at his own discretion, did not wear a military uniform” (parts 3.1, 2.1 and 5 of Article 337 of the Criminal Code). The court did not specify where this unit was deployed.

The press service writes that Uchuvatov left the unit for the first time on December 25 and was detained by the search group of the military commandant's office on January 8. The next time the private left the unit on February 21, a week later he was detained again. On March 10, the mobilized man left again, for the third time he was detained more than a month later — on April 14.

On June 20, the Nizhny Novgorod garrison military court also appointed junior private Maxim Skobeev (part 5 of article 337 of the Criminal Code), who was called up during mobilization and left the military unit for more than a month, to 5 years in prison.
