MOSCOW, 23 Jun. The first footage from the filming of the series «The Last Hero. Legacy» has appeared, the press service of the project reports. The events in it unfold 20 years after the finale of the franchise about the son of Ilya Muromets.
In the original films, Ivan Naydenov (Viktor Khorinyak) lived in present-day Moscow, pretended to be a magician, and participated in a TV show. Until he found out who his father was. The guy ended up in the fabulous country of Belogorye. There he met Baba Yaga, the waterman and other heroes.

In the series, Naydenov is already 50 years old. He has two daughters. The eldest is the bogatyr Marya (Arina Rozhkova). The youngest is the novice sorceress Sophia (Evelina Mazurina). The latter will go into the past to save her father and Belogorye. In Moscow 2017, she will see what Ivan was like before he found out about his origin. Marya will stay in Belogorye and fight evil there.
Victor Khorinyak, Kirill Zaitsev, Elena Yakovleva, Vladislav Vetrov and others will return to the roles. The image of the Nightingale the Robber will be embodied by Alexander Lykov. Mirror — the role of Tatyana Dogileva. Yulia Peresild will play the young Baba Yaga, Alexandra Ursulyak will play the grown-up Vasilisa.

Dmitry Lysenkov, Alexander Ustyugov, Oleg Chugunov, Nikita Kologrivy are also involved in the project.
«In previous films, we have coolly developed male characters, now we want to add depth to female characters, this part of our universe. As a result, we wrote the script for eight episodes for one year and one month without pauses,» says creative producer Vasily Kutsenko.

The START online cinema, the Rossiya TV channel and the Yellow, Black and White studio with the support of ANO IRI are working on the creation of the series.
It was previously reported that Anton Maslov, who directed the first season of Vampires of the Middle Band, will direct the series.
