MOSCOW, Jun 26 The US Embassy contacted The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation on the topic of security in connection with the events around Yevgeny Prigozhin, an informed source said.
«The embassy contacted by e-mail,» the agency's interlocutor said in response to a question whether US Ambassador to the Russian Federation Lynn Tracy had contacted the Russian Foreign Ministry on the topic embassy security in connection with the events around Prigozhin.
Earlier, the American media reported on contacts between the US embassy and the Russian Foreign Ministry. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said US administration officials have been in contact with Russian counterparts on the issue of citizen security, but he did not elaborate.
