MINSK, June 28 The position of Minsk remains unchanged: there should be no barriers and restrictions in the interaction between Russia and Belarus, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said in a video message to to the participants of the 10th Forum of the Regions of Belarus and Russia, which is taking place in Ufa.
“In general, our positions remain unchanged: there are no barriers or restrictions in interaction. This is the basic principle of partnership,” the Belarusian leader said.
Lukashenko added that controversial issues, if they arise, should be resolved promptly and in a constructive way. He also stressed the growing role of interregional cooperation and «people's diplomacy» in the integration processes between the countries.
The President noted that the Forum of Regions, in its essence, has become an effective dialogue platform where the necessary decisions are made. «It is important that representatives of various spheres — politics, business, culture, science, are at the forefront of developing these solutions,» the Belarusian leader added.
