Lukashenka: Russian officials “were sitting under a broom” during the Wagner rebellion
Commenting on the military mutiny of Wagner PMC on June 24, President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that many Russian officials “were sitting under a broom” during what was happening.
“When the explosion occurred, as President Putin called it, this unrest in Russia, somehow everyone was sitting under a broom,” Lukashenka said.
He noted that «courageous» were the head of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko, the speaker of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin, Patriarch Kirill, «a couple of people — that's all.» At the same time, he said that many who did not comment on the situation began to speak out only after the end of all the events.
