WASHINGTON, June 27 The United States and Russia maintain contacts at various levels, but Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin did not contact his Russian counterpart Sergei Shoigu during Saturday's events with PMC «Wagner», said on Tuesday the official representative of the US defense department Patrick Ryder.
“We have many channels for communication with Russia and various mechanisms through which this can be done. However, the minister did not contact his Russian counterpart over the weekend,” Ryder said during the briefing.
