MOSCOW, Jul 2 Ukrainian forces lack weapons from Western allies to deal with Russian Lancet drones, adviser to Ukrainian Defense Minister Yuriy Sak said in interview with the Telegraph newspaper.
«
«Our intelligence says that the Russians have begun to invest more in the production of these drones. <…> Let's not praise the Russians, but this is a good weapon. <…> We are concerned about everything that can damage our equipment or pose a danger to our troops,” he said.
According to Sack, the West could help, for example, by transferring German Gepard tanks and Australian all-wheel drive armored vehicles to Kiev Hawkei, as well as electronic warfare equipment. At the same time, the adviser to the minister reproached Australia for trying to «find some excuses» not to send their cars to Ukraine.
«Modern jamming equipment is a very important aspect of our ability to combat with drones. But we really lack this, and we are counting on our allies, and I hope someday we will have more of them,» Sak complained.
Western politicians constantly say that Ukraine must defeat Russia on the battlefield, and are stepping up the supply of weapons and military equipment. The Kremlin responded that military assistance would not fundamentally solve anything, but would only prolong the suffering of the Ukrainian people.
