Newsweek points out in its article that the West has essentially run out of Stinger MANPADS to it was possible to transfer these weapons to Ukraine painlessly, and Russia now knows this.
Military expert Allan Orr told the publication that the absence of Stingers affects the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, because without airspace control it is very difficult to overcome minefields and resist artillery.
The article highlights that the US has already begun to bring in engineers over 70 years old to ramp up production of the Stinger.
