The Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives (PFCI) has announced the winners of the second competition in 2023 for organizing events in the regions of Russia. The «Agency» drew attention to two large grants that will be allocated for musical tours.

One of the grants in the amount of 153.2 million rubles will go to the music festival “Russian Summer. ZaRussia». It will be held in 26 cities of Russia and in the occupied territories of Ukraine. The author of the project was the Expert Institute for Social Research.

As part of the festival, according to the project, a concert program will be organized with “favorite songs of Russians”, “documentary films about the struggle of Donbass residents, Russian soldiers and militias”, as well as performances by the sports movement “The Strongest Nation in the World”.

Another grant in the amount of 51.7 million rubles will be allocated for the «digital patriotic festival Hero Motherland» in seven cities of Russia, as well as in the Crimea and the self-proclaimed LPR and DPR. Among the participants are Shaman, Denis Maidanov, Alexander Rosenbaum, Irina Dubtsova and Stas Kostyushkin. According to the project, the concerts of pro-war artists will be accompanied by a light show on the facades of buildings. The purpose of the festival is called «the promotion of patriotic values ​​​​and pride in one's country.»

In addition, 55 million rubles will be donated to the Moscow theater of Oleg Tabakov for the performance of the performance about the Second World War «Sailor's Silence» in Luhansk and Donetsk. According to the authors of the production, «in the period of the development of Russophobic sentiments, culture plays one of the most important roles.»

The patriotic series «Pro_Honor», in the description of which it is said that «according to the forecast, the number of young people in Russia due to the demographic decline, pandemic and SVO will be reduced by almost a third by 2025», received 11 million rubles, the Donbass Express festival — 16.5 million rubles, the «workshop of Zakhar Prilepin» in Nizhny Novgorod — almost 10 million; 18.5 million were allocated for another festival with films about the “heroes of the SVO”, and 4.8 million for the events “Kirill. In total, the PFKI determined 1,071 winners based on the results of the last grant competition — a significant part of the grants in the amount of 4.3 billion rubles will be directed to «patriotic» projects, including the creation of a series of documentary films «Deed» about «feats of volunteers and mobilized». Following the results of the first competition in March 2023, the fund allocated 3.6 billion rubles for cultural initiatives.
