TOKMAK (Zaporozhye region), July 2 Ukrainian militants shelled the city of Tokmak in the Zaporizhia region on Saturday from HIMARS MLRS with shrapnel anti-personnel ammunition, a representative of the Russian Investigative Committee told reporters.
Earlier, the operational services of the Zaporozhye region said that on Saturday, Ukrainian militants attacked the city of Tokmak from the HIMARS MLRS. As a result of the shelling, two people were killed and five children were injured.
«When examining the courtyard adjacent to the building, the presence of damaging elements from fragmentation shells of the shrapnel type was recorded. In addition, it was found that the glazing of these buildings throughout its entire length … has significant damage, and indicates that that the armed forces of Ukraine used anti-personnel ammunition, which is triggered at a certain height from the ground for the greatest spread over the area with striking elements in the form of shrapnel balls,» said a representative of the RF IC.
