WASHINGTON, Jul 4 The son of US President Hunter Biden, known related to drugs and corruption scandals, was in the White House shortly before a powder was discovered there, according to preliminary data, which turned out to be cocaine, the New York Post writes.
Hunter Biden, who previously admitted to being addicted to cocaine, was on the White House grounds on Friday before heading to Camp David with his father for the holiday weekend. It is specified that the powder was found in the library on Sunday.
At the same time, the authorities did not officially report how the powder ended up on the territory of the White House and who left it.
As the Washington Post newspaper reported earlier, the US Secret Service, which is engaged in the protection of the US president and high-ranking officials, is investigating an incident with the discovery of white powder on the White House grounds, which, according to preliminary data, turned out to be cocaine. Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said the substance is undergoing further testing. Now the authorities are investigating how it got into the White House. According to the service, the substance does not pose any threat.
Suspicious powder was discovered by USSS officers who were conducting a tour of the building. After that, an evacuation was announced, US President Joe Biden was not in the White House at that time.
On Monday, the New York Post reported another batch of personal photographs of Hunter Biden that have been released to the public, showing him using drugs while driving a moving car and also driving at a speed of 172 miles per hour (almost 277 km /h) on the way to Las Vegas.
Hunter Biden is notorious for drug and corruption scandals. In September 2020, Republican Senators Ron Johnson and Chuck Grassley released a report alleging that the son of then-U.S. presidential candidate Joe Biden Hunter and his partner received millions of dollars from foreign nationals with a dubious past.
