MOSCOW, July 5 At a meeting on Wednesday, the Federation Council approved the law on cashless payments for the delivery of scrap metal by citizens, rejected earlier with the creation of a conciliation commission.
The law provides for the establishment of a non-cash form of payment when carrying out activities for the acceptance of scrap and waste of ferrous and (or) non-ferrous metals from individuals.
The original version of the law provided that until July 1, 2024, cashless payments are made for individuals selling scrap and non-ferrous metal waste in the amount of more than 120 thousand rubles (transitional period), and for individuals carrying out the sale of scrap and waste of ferrous metals, in the amount of more than 10 thousand rubles.
The final version of the law canceled the transition period with restrictions on the amount of cash payments for the delivery of scrap metal by citizens. According to the law, the full non-cash form of payment is established from October 1, 2023.
In addition, the head of the agrarian committee of the Federation Council, Alexander Dvoinykh, noted that the conciliation commission considered in detail the issues of the work of the law in the new territories, according to him, there are no risks.
