Politics 2.0 public movement member Yulia Stadnichuk, who was a witness in the contempt case against Alexei Navalny, filed a defamation lawsuit against the politician's press secretary, Kira Yarmysh. On July 5, the case materials were received by the Tagansky District Court of Moscow, Mediazona drew attention to this.
The start date for the consideration of Stadnichuk's claim has not yet been set; what exactly her claims are connected with is still unknown.
In 2022, Yarmysh tweeted: “Witness Stadnichuk at Navalny’s trial says she heard him call the judge ‘gramophone. I remind you that the witness is giving this testimony in a CRIMINAL case.” To this tweet, Stadnichuk replied: “Kira, get ready for the trial.”
Kira, get ready for the trial. For completely distorting the testimony of a witness and for slandering POLICY 2.0. To say that we are for Putin — well, it must be completely stupid. https://t.co/KKYu92jljQ

Last year, Stadnichuk spoke at an offsite hearing in the Navalny case about disrespectto court during the consideration of another case against a politician — about slandering veteran Ignat Artemenko and fraudwhen collecting donations for the activities of FBK.
Stadnichuk said she learned about Navalny's «inappropriate statements about the judge» from the telegram channel. She read her testimony from a piece of paper. Navalny himself said in court that members of the Politika 2.0 movement, which Stadnichuk is a member of, wrote 38 statements against him to law enforcement agencies. At the meeting, the politician also asked the witness if Politika 2.0 supported Putin, the question was removed by the judge, but Stadnichuk shouted that she supported it.
