The Investigative Committee for the Kurgan Region reported on the indictment in the case of repeated «discrediting» of the army (Part 1 of Article 280.3 of the Criminal Code) against a resident of the village of Ust-Uyskoye, Tselinny district of the region.
According to investigators, a man in 1990, between March and April, posted on his page in a certain social network «information discrediting the use of the armed forces of the Russian Federation.» The accused was placed in jail.
Aleksey Filyugin became a defendant in the case — according to the SOVA Center, he is the only resident of the Tselinny district who was previously brought to administrative responsibility for «discrediting» the army (part 1 of article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). The age of Filyugin and the accused in the case also coincide.
In addition, the website of the Tselinny District Court also reports that Filyugin was sent to a pre-trial detention center. At the same time, in addition to the article on “discrediting” the army, the card on choosing a measure of restraint contains an article on “fakes” about the armed forces (Part 1 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code). Both cases are combined into one proceeding, the court ruling says.
In June 2022, Filyugin was fined 35,000 rubles in an administrative case of “discrediting” the army due to posts on VKontakte. In publications, the man called Vladimir Putin a dictator, comparing him with Adolf Hitler, and criticized the Russian military. “Russians, remember — your silence is the justification for the crimes of your marauding army. Nobody will forget these crimes,” one of the publications said.
In February 2022, the Kurgan edition 45.RU published a report on how Filyugin plans to sue guardianship authorities. The man's mother had previously adopted a girl with HIV infection, but after the woman's death, Filyugin's foster sister was taken away by the guardianship authorities. While the man was collecting documents for adoption, the girl was transferred to another family.
