The compact SUV has been given a fresh look and a new large-screen multimedia system. They did not change the technique.
The very first serial Citroen C4 Cactus debuted in 2014, it was a compact SUV with an unusual design, intended mainly for Europe. Three years later, the «old-world» five-door survived restyling and turned from a cross into a hatchback (then the brand cleared the way for the C3 Aircross). And in the same year, the company introduced another C4 Cactus — already for South America, and again in SUV status. The European Cactus eventually sunk into oblivion, giving way to the new C4 family, but the overseas crossover is still in service, and it has just been brought up to the 2024 model year. Recall that C4 Cactus in the form of an SUV is produced in Brazil, from there it is also supplied to Argentina and some other countries in the region.
>The SUV with a length of 4170 mm got wheels of a new design (16- or 17-inch), the foglights now have an orange backing, plus the decor of the same color is on the branded Airbump side trims. Well, they also refreshed the Cactus lettering on the rear roof pillars.

In the cabin, a new multimedia system was installed with a 10-inch screen, like the local cross-hatch Citroen C3, although the tablet is still built into the front panel, and does not rise above it. The Brazilian Cactus has a large touchscreen by default, while in Argentina this appears starting from the second most senior configuration (“the base” includes the previous 7-inch screen).

In addition, USB ports were replaced inside: two in front and one for rear passengers, a wire hook was also installed above the latter. The compartment between the front seats has also increased, and in the central tunnel of expensive versions there is now a niche for wireless charging of a smartphone. As before, the top-end Citroen C4 Cactus also has a rearview camera, front and side airbags, curtain airbags, auto-brake systems and lane departure warning.

Techniques of the reform did not touch. Citroen C4 Cactus is equipped with an aspirated 1.6 and a turbo four of the same volume. In Brazil, both engines traditionally for this country «eat» both gasoline and ethanol: in the first case, the base engine produces 113 hp, in the second — 120 hp; turbo engine power — 166 and 173 hp respectively. In Argentina, they sell purely gasoline versions with a return of 115 and 165 hp. The Brazilian cross is equipped with a six-speed automatic, five-speed mechanics are still available to Argentines (but only in the initial configuration with aspirated). The drive is exclusively front.
In Brazil, the price of the updated Citroen C4 Cactus varies from 22,000 to 26,700 dollars, and this is less than what was asked for the pre-reform model.
Meanwhile, the current modernization may be the last for Cactus: another crossover will soon start in South America (and India) — the Citroen C3 Aircross (not to be confused with the global SUV of the same name).
