MOSCOW, 7 Jul. Russian President Vladimir Putin has already inflicted a humiliating defeat on the West by returning the Russian-speaking territories that were part of Ukraine after the collapse of the USSR, and by showing the weakness of the American military-industrial complex, writes The Federalist columnist Nathaniel Blake.
“The United States is not in able to realize the ambitious goal of becoming the «arsenal of democracy», and one cannot help Ukraine with enthusiasm. <…> The course of hostilities is not yet a foregone conclusion, <…> demand for weapons and other means of warfare,” the author noted.
According to him, Putin is already winning. As the columnist noted, the advertised summer offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine disappointed, Kyiv is running out of ammunition, and the Russians are only increasing their strikes. The inability of the United States to maintain wartime arms production does not bode well for Ukraine, he concluded. >
