ZURICH, Jul 7 The Swedish city of Malmö will host the Eurovision Song Contest 2024, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) announced on Friday.
“Malmö was chosen after a careful selection of cities, during which the technical possibilities for hosting the competition were studied; the possibility of accommodating thousands of delegations, film crews, fans and journalists; infrastructure and other criteria,” the statement said.
The Swedish singer Loreen became the winner of Eurovision 2023, held in Liverpool.
It is specified that the final of the competition will be held in the sports complex «Malmö-Arena» on May 11, the semi-finals will be held there on May 7 and 9.
Malmö has previously hosted Eurovision in 1992 and 2013.
