In the case of theater director Evgenia Berkovich and screenwriter Svetlana Petriychuk, who are accused of justifying terrorism (Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code) because of the play «Finist Yasny Sokol», a new examination was appointed. This was reported to RBC by Berkovich's lawyer Ksenia Karpinskaya.
Today, on the air of the Live Nail YouTube channel, Dmitry Muratov, editor-in-chief of Novaya Gazeta, also spoke about the appointment of a new examination. According to him, the study will be carried out by specialists from the FSB department for the Sverdlovsk region. Muratov added that the expertise carried out by the creator of “destructology” by Roman Silantiev, on the basis of which a criminal case was initiated, was not accepted by the court.
Karpinskaya, in a conversation with RBC, noted that Silantiev's expertise continues to operate.

“The destructological examination is valid, no one canceled at the time of the appointment of a new one. There is no such thing, it can be recognized as inadmissible evidence, but no one recognized it as such, ”said the lawyer.
Petriychuk and Berkovich were sent to jail on May 5. The day before, their director and screenwriter were detained and interrogated, and their apartments were searched. The case against them was initiated on April 10, but it became known about it only on May 4.
