The Governor of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug (KhMAO) Natalya Komarova declared a state of emergency in the region due to forest fires. She announced this in her telegram channel.
According to Komarova, there are 39 large forest fires and 5 landscape fires in the region. Their total area is more than 9.5 thousand hectares. The cause of the disaster is thunderstorm activity and lack of rainfall.
In the spring, a state of emergency due to fires was introduced in the Omsk, Tyumen and Kurgan regions.
