A criminal case was opened against a 47-year-old resident of Volsk about «discrediting» the Russian army. This was reported on the website of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Saratov region.
Employees of the Center «E», the department said, preliminary established that in November 2022 a man saw a car with the letter Z on the rear window and demanded that the driver remove the sticker, «while demonstrating a baseball bat and saying threats of physical violence and damage to the car.”
The suspect was given a preventive measure in the form of a written undertaking not to leave (Part 1 of Article 280.3 of the Criminal Code). Earlier, the man had already been fined under a similar administrative protocol on “discrediting” the military, the Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasized (part 1 of article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). According to Baza, the reason for this was his anti-war posts in the local public.
The Telegram channel claims that the suspect's name is Anton Korchagin. Baza claims that a woman was driving a car approached by a resident of Volsk. According to the sources of the publication, Korchagin said that he spoke rudely to the owner of the car, as he was drunk.
