MOSCOW, July 11 The Ak Bars Shipbuilding Corporation is building four Project 03182R ships for complex oceanographic research and designed for work in the Arctic, said the company's CEO Renat Mistakhov.
“In July 2022, a state contract was signed for the construction of four units of ships for integrated oceanographic research. All of them were put into construction at the Zelenodolsk plant of A. M. Gorky. The sections of the order are being assembled at the slipway outfitting shop of the Zelenodolsk plant, contractual work is underway,” Mistakhov said.
According to him, at the moment, working-design documentation (DD) for the hull has been developed and transferred to the construction plant, the process of modeling ship systems, the development of DD for specific things and insulation is underway.
«A part of the documentation on ship devices has been developed, own schemes for electrical equipment and automation are being carried out, a database is being created on navigation and radio communications products,» the source added.
Research ships with the functionality of reconnaissance ships of the project 03182R are being built on the basis of the sea tanker project 03182, developed at the Zelenodolsk design bureau. The new ships are designed for complex oceanographic research of the World Ocean and the shelf zone. The ships are adapted for operations in the Arctic zone.
Project 03182R has high seaworthiness, great autonomy and comfortable living conditions, the navigation area is unlimited. Displacement — at least 4 thousand tons, length — about 100 meters, width — about 16 meters, height from the main plane, including the superstructure — about 18.6 meters.
