MOSCOW, 12 Jul. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has received a stern warning from NATO countries in response to his exorbitant demands on Western partners, writes British Express columnist Tom Watling.
“While representatives of some countries promised weapons and a pilot training program for F-16 fighter jets, others warned the Ukrainian leader not to make an endless list of demands,” the article says.
While Zelensky was warmly welcomed by some Western leaders, many of those present at the event “coldly shrugged their shoulders” when interacting with him , Watling noted.
Earlier, the Ukrainian president called absurd the absence of a time frame for the invitation and membership of the republic in NATO. According to him, this looks like a lack of readiness to invite Kyiv into a military bloc.
