Children who survived forty days after a plane crash in the Colombian jungle have made a full recovery. The Central Military Hospital reported that the minors had been discharged.
A Cessna 206 aircraft carrying three adults and four children disappeared in the jungle on May 1st. A large-scale search operation «Hope» was organized, but initially, on May 15, the military managed to find only the wreckage of the aircraft.
On June 9, the President of Colombia announced that the children were found alive. The youngest at that time was 11 months old, the eldest — 13 years old.
The children were hospitalized in a state of severe dehydration and exhaustion. At the moment, according to doctors, their condition does not cause concern. However, minors will remain under the supervision of the Colombian Institute for Family Welfare for the time being.
