
MOSCOW, Jul 14 2006 Olympic champion in figure skating Roman Kostomarov thanked everyone for their support and noted that it inspires him to fight and continue recovery.
In early July, the 46-year-old athlete was discharged from the hospital in Kommunarka.
«»Hello everyone. Thank you for your support and good wishes. This is very inspiring, it helps to fight and move on,» Kostomarov wrote in his Telegram channel.
Kostomarov was admitted to the intensive care unit with pneumonia on January 10 and spent 175 days in the clinic. Because of the developed necrosis, he underwent several amputations of the arms and legs. It was reported that part of the brain was affected, hemorrhage occurred and a hematoma formed. Later, he published three videos with training after prosthetics.
