MOSCOW, 15 Jul. Editor-in-Chief of MIA «Rossii Segodnya» and RT Margarita Simonyan commented on the message about the prevention of an attempt on her life by the Ukrainian special services.
“The FSB, together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Investigative Committee, detained a group that, by order of Ukraine, was preparing my murder. They followed me, they knew all my addresses. We are working, brothers!” she wrote in the Telegram channel.
Earlier today, the Federal Security Service announced that, together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Investigative Committee, it prevented the attempted murder of Simonyan and journalist Ksenia Sobchak. It was specified that members of the neo-Nazi group «Paragraph-88» were detained in Moscow and the Ryazan region the day before. They were preparing assassination attempts on the instructions of the SBU. For each murder they were promised to pay 1.5 million rubles.
The Investigative Committee plans to initiate cases against the attackers «with extremist and terrorist overtones».
