Welt: Ukrainian military criticized German instructors for not knowing minefields
The German edition of Welt published an article about the work of instructors from Germany with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in which the latter criticized the teachers. The story shows one of the Ukrainian soldiers, who talks about the Germans' ignorance of the realities of minefields in the war zone.
«We ask them how you go through the minefields,» said the Ukrainian soldier, quoted by the Ukrainian media. “They explain to us that we just need to go around them.”
He explained that the instructors on the maps indicated the minefields conditionally, a couple of hundred meters in size. And in the NVO zone, as follows from the words of a soldier, «hectares of these minefields.»
