Former adviser to the head of the Pentagon, Colonel Douglas McGregor, in an interview with political observer Michael Savage, said that the United States could be destroyed in the event of a military conflict with Russia.
«The stupidest thing we can do is threaten it with nuclear weapons,» McGregor said, reflecting on the outcome of a hypothetical military confrontation between the two countries.
The expert noted that Russia is capable of filling the Atlantic with its submarine missile carriers. He added that the Russians could send their submarines to the Pacific Ocean, where, in addition, they would be supported by the Chinese Navy.
At the same time, the United States, McGregor noted, a significant part of the submarines is under repair.< /p>
Bloomberg previously reported that almost 40% of U.S. submarines have been decommissioned due to repairs.
