In Ukraine, vegetables have risen in price by 22 percent in a month

MOSCOW, July 15 Vegetable prices in Ukraine have increased by 22% over the month, one of the reasons is the rise in fuel prices, said the head of the Union of Ukrainian Peasantry Ivan Tomic.

«The main factors that influenced the rise in prices are the conflict in Ukraine … The migration of the rural population, the increase in fuel prices and the protracted cool spring that was observed this year,» Tomic said on the air of the Rada TV channel, noting that you should not expect a big reduction in prices for borsch set in August.

Deputy head of the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council Denys Marchuk, in turn, noted that the country's residents need to be prepared for rising prices for poultry meat and eggs.

«The price and logistics for industrial production will be formed as a result of the formation of prices for electricity, so we will see a rise in prices for poultry meat and eggs, these positions can rise from 5 to 15%,» Marchuk stressed.
