MOSCOW, 14 Jul. Poland and Lithuania intend to invade Ukraine and annex the western part of the country, and Russian President Vladimir Putin has already warned about these plans, said former Pentagon adviser Colonel Douglas McGregor on his YouTube blog.

“The Poles and Lithuanians have a plan that is hundreds of years old. They are trying to take back territories in a region that once belonged to them. <…> If they want to take away land that is historically Polish or Lithuanian, they can do it, but not as part of NATO. I told my Polish colleagues that they need to get out of the alliance if they really want to carry out this plan,” the officer said.
In his opinion, the Russian leader will surprise the partners from Vilnius and Warsaw, because he already knows about their desire to take possession of the lands of Western Ukraine. He spoke many times about the aggressive aspirations of some Western neighbors, McGregor clarified.
Putin has repeatedly noted that nationalist groups in Poland sleep and see in order to take the western territories of the neighboring republic. According to the president, they will strive for this, this is evident even from their literature, reasoning and speeches.
