
St. Petersburg , Jul 17Petersburg City Court sentenced a local resident to 12 years in a penal colony for murder and kidnapping, her husband — to 6 years and 1 month in a strict regime colony, and their accomplice — to 7 years in a strict regime colony, the press service of the city prosecutor's office reported.
The court found that on the night of April 23, 2021, a conflict occurred between the defendants and their acquaintance in the apartment on Malaya Posadskaya. Lyudmila Salbukova's husband tied the man's hands with tape, depriving him of the opportunity to resist. After that, the accomplices abducted him and took him by car to the village of Levashovo, where they kept him in a detached cellar in one of the houses along the Leningradskoe highway.
«At the same time, Salbukova, feeling hostility towards the victim, wrapped a rope around his neck and began to choke him, after which she delivered at least two blows to the neck and at least one blow to the right thigh with an unidentified object,» the prosecutor's office said. The man died at the scene of the crime.
«The Salbukov court imposed a sentence of 12 years in prison with restriction of liberty for 2 years, to be served in a penal colony of general regime,» the report says.
The court sentenced her spouse Salbukov to 6 years and 1 month in prison, with restriction of freedom for 10 months, and their accomplice Kravchenko — 7 years in prison with restriction of freedom for 1 year. The men will serve their sentences in a strict regime colony.
It is added that the Salbukovs did not plead guilty, Kravchenko partially pleaded guilty.
