World boxing champion Tyson Fury decided not to pay a million pounds for the needs of Ukraine, because of which the fight with Oleksandr Usyk fell through. The manager of the latter assures that the reason for the refusal of the Briton can be shocking, so he did not voice it. Although everything is perfectly clear.
Conditions for the Ukrainian The fight between Fury and Usyk was supposed to take place on April 29 at Wembley Stadium in London. On December 4 last year, the Briton defeated compatriot Derek Chisora and defended his World Boxing Council (WBC) heavyweight title. After that, he called out the World Boxing Association (WBA), International Boxing Federation (IBF), World Boxing Organization (WBO) and International Boxing Organization (IBO) heavyweight champion Usyk.
However, the terms of the deal were never agreed upon. Fury's team insisted on the distribution of the fee in the ratio of 70 to 30 in favor of Tyson. The father of the Briton, John Fury, said that the Ukrainian does not deserve equal pay, as he is inferior in status. Surprisingly, Usyk was still ready to enter the ring. Only under one condition, which he announced on social networks.

"Hey, greedy belly. I accept your 70/30 offer to fight on April 29th at Wembley. But you promise to donate a million pounds to Ukraine immediately after the fight. And every day, until you do this, you will pay 1% of the fee to the Ukrainian people. Agreed? — said the Ukrainian boxer in a video message.
«The Coward and the Clown»WBA President Gilberto Mendoza said that he had received confirmation from the Usyk and Fury teams about the fight. The parties allegedly asked for time to finalize the contract. Initially, the fight was planned to be held in Saudi Arabia, and then there was an option with Wembley. Both plans failed.
Later it became known that Usyk would still enter the ring, but with another Briton, Daniel Dubois. The fight is scheduled for August 26 and will take place in Wroclaw, Poland. Fury, in response to this, called the Ukrainian a «cowardly clown.»

A new twistThe story did not end there. Usyk's manager Oleksandr Krasyuk, in an interview with the same Boxing Social, answered why the much-anticipated fight was not organized in any way. In his opinion, it is the British who are to blame.

If initially it was about a million pounds, now it's about a million dollars. However, this is no longer so important. It's easy to see why Fury refused. After all, everyone understands where a million would go and for what needs. Apparently, the British at least does not support Ukraine in the current conflict. Otherwise, Usyk's manager would not have talked about the «destruction of the image.» Fury deserves respect.
The fight could still take place in the future. Another representative of Usik's team, Egis Klimas, announced on social networks a week ago that the contract for the fight with Fury had been signed.

If this is the case, then the terms of the agreement have also changed. It is unlikely that Fury nevertheless agreed to give a million to Ukraine. So, Usyk gave up and realized that he would have to fight the Briton on fair terms without any political manipulation.
