MOSCOW, July 19 The Secretary General of the International Football Federation (FIFA), Fatma Samura, urged fans to actively buy tickets for the Women's World Cup.
The tournament, which will be jointly hosted by Australia and New Zealand, will be held from 20 July to 20 August. The number of participants was expanded from 24 to 32 teams.
Samura stated that tickets for the first match were not sold out yet. The tournament sold 1.375 million tickets, she said, more than the 2019 Women's World Cup in France.
«Our expectations in terms of numbers are justified. However, we still have tickets for some matches, so my only request is not to wait until the last moment,» Agence France Presse quoted Samura as saying.
