Head of the Ministry of Health Mikhail Murashko, during a speech in the State Duma, called for explaining to children from school that women should first give birth to children, and then build a career. A fragment of his speech is given by RBC.
“You need to explain, in fact, already from the school bench. <…> A completely vicious practice that has developed in society: when a belief has formed that a woman should get an education, then make a career, then secure a material base for herself, and only after that, already approaching, so to speak, such a difficult reproductive age, take care of childbearing, ”Murashko said.
According to him, then women experience infertility, or they cannot bear children at all. Other health problems are also emerging, due to which «the time for bearing the third and fourth child is reduced,» the minister said.
“The situation should be radically revised, and the message should be completely different,” Murashko said. — The age of the birth of the first child, the second is important for the health of the child himself, for the health of the woman. This is the prevention of gynecological diseases, and for a career it is ultimately [important] — it does not break it later.
The day before, Murashko called for «strict control» of abortion drugs. The department has already prepared a draft of the corresponding order.
