
MOSCOW, July 20 Russian businessman Oleg Tinkov was excluded from the UK sanctions list, follows from a document published by the government of the country.< br>«The following person has been removed from the single list and is no longer subject to asset freezes or trust services sanctions: Oleg Yuryevich Tinkov,» the text reads. Subsequently, the restrictions expanded: the country's authorities, in particular, banned ships owned or controlled by a businessman from entering their ports.
In November, Tinkov announced on social networks that he had decided to renounce Russian citizenship. He attached a photo of the relevant certificate dated October 26 to the publication, but the post disappeared the next day. The businessman wrote that some trolls were to blame for this.
In March 2023, the businessman applied to the British Foreign Office with a request to remove him from the sanctions list.
Tinkoff Bank is part of the TCS Group. This is the first Russian bank that completely abandoned branches. At the end of April last year, Interros Holding bought a 35 percent stake in the Tinkoff Group (TCS Group) from Tinkov.
