A couple with a child went missing while fishing in the Irkutsk region
A married couple with their five-year-old grandson went missing while fishing on the Lena River in the Irkutsk region. This was reported by the regional prosecutor's office.
According to preliminary data, on July 15, a 55-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman with her grandson went fishing on a motor boat in the Kirensky district. The family was supposed to return home on July 17.
Police officers, together with rescuers, organized a search for the fishermen. A submerged boat with life jackets, personal belongings and fishing gear was found off the coast.
Investigators of the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case into the disappearance of a married couple with a young grandson, the prosecutor's office specified.
