MOSCOW, 19 Jul. A special room is ready to receive the «Holy Trinity» icon by Andrei Rublev at the Academician Grabar All-Russian Artistic Research and Restoration Center, its director Dmitry Sergeev said.
The relic will be delivered on Wednesday from the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, where believers have been able to bow to it since the beginning of June.

In the room where the icon will be placed, the required temperature and humidity conditions have been established, the requirements for lighting have been implemented, and there are all the necessary devices for fire protection and protection of the monument. The Grabar Center is ready to receive the icon of the Holy Trinity,” Sergeev said.
The special room provided the same conditions in which the relic was in the Tretyakov Gallery: temperature 19 degrees, humidity 50 percent. A comfortable light environment is also equipped with LED lamps with a color temperature of four thousand kelvins.
After the arrival of the icon, experts will study its condition and decide on further work. Experts from the Tretyakov Gallery, who have been involved in the preservation of the Trinity for many years, will become participants in the extended restoration council.
In May, Vladimir Putin ordered the return of a masterpiece of ancient Russian icon painting to the church.
Last week, Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova and Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia signed an agreement according to which the Trinity remains state property, but is transferred to the Trinity-Sergius Lavra for free use for 4 9 years old.
