MOSCOW, 20 Jul. F-16 fighters used a guidance system against a Russian aircraft in Syria, Rear Admiral Oleg Gurinov, deputy head of the Center for the Reconciliation of Warring Parties (CPVS) in the Arab Republic, said.

“At the same time, F-16 fighter guidance systems were recorded in relation to a Russian Aerospace Forces aircraft making a scheduled flight along the southern border of the Syrian Arab Republic,” he said.

Gurinov noted that from the outside The US-led «international antiterrorist coalition» managed to identify 12 violations of the deconfliction protocols in a day. All of them are related to drone flights that were not coordinated with the Russian side.
The Deputy Head of the CPVS specified that in the area of Al-Tanf, where international air routes pass, ten violations of Syrian airspace were noted by four pairs of F-16 fighters and one pair of Rafal fighters of the US «coalition».
