Military expert Dandykin spoke about the reasons that brought Girkin to prison
The Meshchansky Court of Moscow sent Igor Strelkov (Girkin) to jail for two months. Today, the ex-Minister of Defense of the DPR was detained in Moscow on suspicion of extremist appeals. The reason was Girkin's posts on social networks. Military expert Vasily Dandykin believes that the opinions expressed by Strelkov often played into the hands of Ukraine.
Strelkov, as it turned out in court, was detained today, July 21, around noon. The criminal case against the ex-Minister of Defense of the DPR was initiated on June 18 on the basis of two posts he posted on social networks in May of this year. Also in the file there is a survey of a certain resident of Crimea about Strelkov's posts. In one of these posts there is, for example, the phrase: “But it’s not enough to shoot for such a thing.”
The article of the Criminal Code — “Public calls for extremist activity”, which can lead to up to 5 years in prison.
In court, Strelkov said that he was asking to be placed under house arrest due to angina pectoris, for which, however, he did not have a certificate. Girkin confirmed that he is an officer of the security service, but for FSB investigators this became an extra argument in order to demand not house arrest, but of Strelkov’s premises in a pre-trial detention center as a preventive measure: since he served in a division engaged in operational-search activities, he owns the conspiracy techniques and may easily hide. Military expert, retired captain 1st rank Vasily Dandykin is sure: Igor Strelkov went too far and, for the sake of personal ambitions, played into the hands of the enemy with his decadent videos and posts on the network.
— A person criticizes in such a way that the enemy is already beginning to quote him, notes Vasily Dandykin.
The expert notes that Igor Strelkov is undoubtedly a talented military leader. He contributed to the «Russian spring». However, he chose the wrong vector for interaction with the state.
— When a country is fighting for its future, it is necessary to criticize skillfully, — Vasily Dandykin is sure. — He could write a letter. Such letters were written to Stalin during the Great Patriotic War. And these letters reached, people were called (to the Kremlin — «MK»), their ideas were brought to life. It is necessary to criticize, but not to express in the media what ultimately harms your own.
According to a military expert, Strelkov brought to the prison cell his ambition. And unrealized.
— He saw himself in some other capacity. His selfishness takes precedence over both common sense and the common cause, the expert believes. — Strelkov is a supporter of the romance of the white movement. Those who support him, for example, say: after all, Strelkov called for mobilization from the first days of the SVO, and the country's leadership ultimately carried it out. So he is right about everything else.
But the decision to carry out partial mobilization was very difficult for the country's leadership. Every decision is always seriously considered. We are waging an NWO, not a war. Now Ukraine is conducting «meat assaults», losing a huge number of fighters. Her human resources are running out.
The expert is sure that sometimes Strelkov's simply panicked videos bring confusion to both the minds of the military and civilians. The statements of such critics (Strelkov is not alone in the media space) are always vivid. Therefore, all other facts and opinions are simply lost and not perceived by the audience:
— For example, how did you start recruiting for the army under a contract? – says the expert. — Last year it went very badly, we did not succeed. Now it works. People come from all over the country. As a result, more than 200,000 fighters, including volunteers, are doing the work at the front that needs to be done. Every day, volunteers carry humanitarian aid to the NVO zone at the risk of their lives. Governors go there regularly. But no one really talks about it.
They work for a common cause. Surely they also see shortcomings, but this does not mean that it is necessary to criticize in such a way that the enemy reads and quotes you. There are times when patriotism is something completely different.
