Massive shrinkflation found in stores. This is the process of reducing the volume of goods sold while maintaining the price. The trend was discovered by State Duma deputy Boris Chernyshov.
According to his instructions, dairy products were purchased in early July. The product was purchased in 122 stores of the most popular retail chains.
As a result, it turned out that only 13 percent of the product has a volume of 1 liter. All other bottles and packages of milk and kefir were 925-950 ml. At the same time, visually, such containers did not differ from «liter».
Thus, the politician is trying to support his bill on «fair price». The document should oblige all retail chains to indicate on the price tag, in addition to the price per unit of goods, the cost of 1 kg or 1 liter.
