    MOSCOW, July 20 The wife of the Czech and French writer Milan Kundera, who died in France at the age of 94, will keep his ashes at home, but after her death the urn can be transported to the family The writer's visit to the Czech city of Brno was reported by Czech Radio, citing the Czech ambassador to France, Michal Fleishman.
    Kundera left Czechoslovakia for France in 1975. He is the author of the world-famous novels «The Unbearable Lightness of Being», «Joke», «Immortality», «Farewell Waltz» and a number of other works. Czech President Petr Pavel called the writer one of the icons of Czech culture and described his death as a great loss.
    «The urn with the ashes (Vera) Kundera intends to leave at home, and after her death, the ashes can be transported to Kundera's homeland, the city of Brno,» the ambassador said on the radio.

    According to Fleishman, the writer was cremated on Wednesday at the Arceuil cemetery in the south of Paris. The ceremony was attended only by his wife Vera and the head of the Gallimard publishing house Antoine Gallimard, who worked closely with the writer. Kundera»>
