MOSCOW, 21 Jul. The Russian military «muffled» the Ukrainian HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems with powerful electronic warfare systems, military expert Frank-Stefan Gady told the American portal War Zone.

In his opinion, the capabilities of the American MLRS in Ukraine have come to an end. The same will happen with ATACMS precision long-range systems, since they work on the same principle as HIMARS, Gady recalled.
«I think we should keep this in mind when we plan new deliveries of other long-range precision-guided munitions to Ukraine,» the expert concluded.
Earlier, former US intelligence officer Scott Ritter called Russian air defense and electronic warfare systems the most effective in the world. They jam the GPS signals of HIMARS missiles and drastically reduce their potential, the officer specified.
