“We received information from the Khors from the instruments of Roshydromet, now Roshydromet is deciphering it. And, accordingly, we have an experiment on the engine there, it is scheduled for August, now the satellite is being degassed, we will prepare to conduct it in August,” Gordin said.
He clarified that the university needs its own engines in order to be able to develop not individual satellites, but orbital constellations. The engines will be used to propel the spacecraft into their target orbits, which Gordin says is preferable to relying on the rocket's upper stage. Telemetry is coming from Khors and Yarilo satellites. An experiment has already been carried out on one of the Yarilo devices, the second is planned for the near future, the rector of the university said, without specifying what kind of tests he was talking about.
Yarilo cubesats No. 3 and No. 4 are designed to measure solar energy reflected from the Earth's surface (Earth's albedo) and measure the Earth's magnetic field along three axes.
