The Novorossiysk garrison military court sentenced mobilized Alexander Shupletsov to six years in prison in the case of unauthorized abandonment of a military unit (part 5 of article 337 of the Criminal Code). Information about this “Kavkaz. Realii” was found on the website of the court.

The decision was made on July 4. According to the court order, on November 21, the mobilized person left the unit in Adygeya and until April 13 lived in Novorossiysk and the Yastrebovsky farm in the Krymsky district of the Krasnodar Territory, until he was detained by the military commandant's office. The man explained his escape with a desire to take a break from service, and refused to testify in court, citing Article 51 of the Constitution.
To the same term — six years in a colony — on July 18, the Pskov garrison military man in the case of desertion sentenced a mobilized man, whose name, according to the «Pskov province» is Andrey Baraboshin.
According to the court, the man left the place of service twice — on November 4 and January 7 (parts 3.1 and 5 of Article 337 of the Criminal Code). It is known that the first time Baraboshin did not appear in the military unit for more than ten days, and the second time for more than a month. All this time he «spent at his own discretion.»
Mediazona found out that in the first half of 2023, military courts received 2,076 criminal cases on the unauthorized abandonment of the unit. This is twice as much as in the whole of last year.
