In the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, the nomination of candidates for elections to legislative assemblies and municipal bodies officially began on July 24.
«We understand that today members of certain commissions are receiving threats … from people located on the territory of Ukraine … I would say that this is power at different levels — there are private initiatives, and there are those people who act on behalf of the authorities,» Bulaev said.
He also noted that in connection with these threats, the task of the Central Election Commission is «to make people feel confident that they are doing the right thing.» «In this case, it is very important to form power in all four regions. I am sure that we will be able to do this through joint efforts,» Bulaev specified.
According to Bulaev, a lot of work has been done to train members of territorial election commissions and members of election commissions four regions, as well as a fully assembled regional segment of the GAS «Vybory» — this will ensure operation in the same conditions as in other subjects of the Russian Federation. «The regional segment of the GAS Vybory has been fully installed in all four constituent entities. This means that each territorial commission has a set of automation tools for the GAS Vybory system,» Bulaev said.
Elections in Russia will be held on a single voting day on September 10, 2023 For the first time, the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions will participate in it.
