MOSCOW, 24 Jul. Nuriyet Shakumidova, Honored Artist of Russia, People's Artist of the Republic of Adygea, died at the age of 102, musician and blogger Adam Achmiz announced this on his page on VKontakte.

"Nuriyet Salimovna Shakumidova passed away. A man of art, a mentor, a public figure, a professional in his field and just a kind, charming woman. In less than 102 years of an interesting life, she touched tens of hundreds of people with her talent and big heart,» the performer wrote.
Nuriyet Shakumidova was born on August 20, 1921. She worked for more than half a century at the Pushkin Russian State Drama Theater in Maykop. The actress has played over 150 roles.
In 2003, Shakumidova was awarded a medal for special merits in the development of theatrical art of the Republic of Adygea.
