DONETSK, July 27 Two civilians were injured as a result of the shelling of the Kievsky district of Donetsk by Ukrainian troops, the mayor of the administrative center of the DPR Alexei Kulemzin said in his Telegram -channel.
«As a result of the shelling of the Kyiv region, a man born in 1958 and a woman born in 1961 were wounded,» Kulemzin wrote in his Telegram channel.
The DPR representative office at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Issues Related to War Crimes of Ukraine, earlier on Thursday, reported 21 shelling of the Kievsky district of Donetsk by Ukrainian troops, including with the use of rockets from MLRS.
Kyiv district is located in the northern part of Donetsk. Here are Miner's Square, Kyiv Prospekt, the railway station, the Donbass Arena football stadium. Here ends the central street of Artem. The airport, which was destroyed as a result of many months of fighting between the Ukrainian military besieged there and the Donetsk militias who stormed their positions, is considered to be the northern outskirts of the region. Since 2014, when the DNR declared independence from Kiev following a coup d'état there, the area has been shelled by Ukrainian security forces.
