MOSCOW, 24 Jul. The animated series «Futurama» returned to the screens 10 years after the release of the seventh season. New episodes have appeared on the streaming service Hulu.
The first episode of the eighth season aired on July 24 and was called «The Impossible Flow». The release of the next — «Children of the Small Swamp» — will take place on July 31.
The season will traditionally be divided into two parts. The first will consist of 10 episodes and will be fully available for viewing on September 25.
It became known back in February that the popular science animated series will appear on the screens again. The authors of the project Matt Groening and David Cohen returned to work, as well as most of the voice actors.
However, the news about the new episode was overshadowed for the fans of «Futurama» by the message that John DiMaggio refused to voice the robot Bender. He stated that he was dissatisfied with the fee offered to him. The actor clarified that he requires a salary increase not only for himself, but also for his colleagues. Later, he reached an agreement with the creators of the project and returned to work in the animated series.
