MOSCOW, July 25 Russian President Vladimir Putin will make a big statement at the plenary session of the Russia-Africa summit on July 28, reports will also be presented by 17 heads of African countries, presidential aide Yuri Ushakov told reporters.
«The summit on July 28 will consist of two parts: our president will speak at the first plenary session and all the heads of 17 states (of Africa — ed.) will speak,» Ushakov said.
After that, according to him, the second plenary session will take place, which will be held in the format of a working breakfast. «Here, the floor will be taken by delegations that are represented at a lower level: vice-presidents, ministers, and so on,» he added.
«Our president will make a big statement, assess the current state of the system of international relations, including the formation of a new world order based on the principle of multipolarity and equality of all independent states,» Ushakov said.
«Naturally, the focus will be on the prospects for further development of relations between Africa and Russia, with an emphasis on our assistance to the national sovereign development of Africans, ensuring fair access to food, fertilizers, modern technologies and energy resources,» he delivered. The motto of this summit is «For a world of security and development.»
«The core idea of the summit is to promote the expansion of Russian-African cooperation in all areas, strengthening the sovereignty of African states in all its changes,» he stressed.
