Colonel McGregor: UAF surrender en masse due to good treatment
Russian President Vladimir Putin is emphatically restrained towards Kiev, said Colonel Douglas McGregor, former adviser to the head of the Pentagon.
«In my opinion, one can conclude that Putin has shown amazing restraint. Almost any other person there would be simply angry at the way we treated the Russians,» he shared his point of view.
The American officer stressed that Russia, on the contrary, treats the captured soldiers of the Ukrainian army well – when a new territory passes under the control of the Russian Armed Forces, convoys arrive there with provisions, medicines and necessary things. This causes Ukrainian soldiers to voluntarily lay down their arms.
The New York Times has previously reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have begun a key phase of the counter-offensive. In the publication, in particular, it was said that the main breakthrough would be carried out in the southern part of the Zaporozhye region.
